York Mills grew up where Yonge Street crosses the West Don River. James Hogg ran mills in the valley in the 1820s, which is why the hollow south of York Mills Road still carries his name. By transit
From York Mills station, take Line 1 north one stop to Sheppard-Yonge. Transfer to the 84 Sheppard West bus heading west and get off at Bathurst Street.
Tip: Tuesday and Thursday appointments until 7 p.m. let you come after work without leaving early.
