A family dentist for the former City of York

York was its own city until 1998, covering neighbourhoods such as Oakwood-Vaughan, Silverthorn, Mount Dennis and Weston, plus the stretch of Eglinton West known as Little Jamaica. Housing ranges from postwar semis and small bungalows to apartment towers near the Humber and Black Creek. It's a working neighbourhood with Caribbean, Portuguese, Latin American and Italian roots.

Patients from York often come to us when something can't wait: a cracked tooth, a lost filling or swelling around a back tooth. Call before you come. We try to see urgent problems the same day, Monday to Thursday, and Dr. Sayeh Maralani does most root canals in our office.

Cost is a real concern for many families. Our fees follow the Ontario Dental Association suggested fee guide, we bill insurers directly, and we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan. We'll explain what's covered before we start, and payment plans are available.

Getting here from York

By car

Get onto Allen Road at Eglinton Avenue West and drive north past Lawrence and Highway 401. At Sheppard Avenue West, turn right and drive east to Bathurst Street, then turn left. 4430 Bathurst St is just north of the corner, with a free lot.

By transit

Get to Cedarvale station on Line 1, then ride Line 1 north to Sheppard West station, then transfer to the 84 Sheppard West bus east to Bathurst Street.

We're in Suite 509 on the 5th floor of 4430 Bathurst St. Both elevators in the lobby go to the 5th floor. Several other dental offices share this building, so look for Suite 509. Free parking behind the building, including wheelchair-accessible spaces.
