New patients welcome

Here's what to expect at your first visit, and how to get ready.

New patients at Lilac Family Dentistry start with an exam, X-rays only if needed, and a cleaning, followed by a clear plan with an estimate. Bring your insurance or CDCP details and a list of your medicines, and we'll check your coverage first.

About patient forms

Haven't seen a dentist in a while?

You're welcome here, with no judgement. We start with a gentle check-up and a clear, step-by-step plan, and we only take X-rays when they're needed.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the first visit?

Plan for about an hour and a half.

Do you see children?

Yes. We see patients of all ages, from a child's first visit around their first birthday to seniors.

Can I transfer my records from my old dentist?

Yes. Tell us your previous dentist and we can request your records and X-rays with your permission.

What if I'm nervous?

Tell us when you book. We'll explain each step, go at your pace and plan breaks. Sedation, including laughing gas, isn't offered at our office.
