Newtonbrook West runs from Bathurst Street east to Yonge, between the Finch hydro corridor and Steeles Avenue. The old village of Newtonbrook once had mills on the Don branches, and Lester B. Pearson was born in the parsonage near Yonge and Hendon. Most houses date from a 1950s building boom, with townhouses and condos added along Yonge and Finch since.
